A Simple Guide to Ensure Your LinkedIn Profile is Visible

Follow these steps to make sure your network notifications are turned off, customize your LinkedIn URL and set all elements of your LinkedIn public profile visibility settings to “visible to everyone” so you can be found by employers and the Kredible platform can give you feedback.

There is a video at the bottom of the page to walk you through changing your settings. You can click here to go to your public profile visibility settings page and make sure every section is visible or follow the instructions below.

Step 1 of 4

To turn off network notification settings so your network doesn’t see when you update your LinkedIn profile, click here to go to your LinkedIn profile and click “Me” or your small picture on the top right corner of the page.

Click “Privacy” in the middle of the screen. Once you do that, click on “Sharing profile edits” on the page.

Make sure they are set to “No”.

Step 2 of 4

From the Privacy page in step 1, you can click the “Edit your public profile” link at the top of that section.

You can also click this link to be taken right to the “Edit your public profile” page.

Scroll down to see Step 3.

Step 3 of 4

Look at the box on the top-right corner of the page titled “Your public profile URL.” Make sure your URL is customized to be as close to your full name as possible.

Click on the pencil to the right of your URL to change it and then click “save” when done.

Step 4 of 4

The image below is what your settings should look like. You want to check the circle next to “Make my public profile visible to everyone” and then check every box under it to have your LinkedIn profile be public.
